Jonathan Tepper
Jonathan received his BSc (H) Computer Systems in 1993 from Nottingham Trent University (NTU) and a PhD in Connectionist Natural Language Processing from NTU in 2000. He spent 18 years in academia, predominantly as an academic manager and Principal Lecturer in Computer Science leading courses in machine learning and data analytics and publishing his research in internationally-renowned journals (such as Trends in Cognitive Science) and conferences. He has notably presented his innovative neural network research in macro-economic modelling at the OECD, Bank of England, and MIT's Sloan School of Management. In December 2018, Jonathan founded Perceptronix Ltd, a company that provides innovative data analytics solutions to the finance industry. Jonathan's current research interests focus on the development of novel neural network-based solutions to problem domains such as bioinformatics, text analytics/NLP, time-series processing of financial and sports markets. He is particularly interested in the development of self-learning behaviours within recurrent neural networks for modelling complex time-series, knowledge extraction from neural networks and intelligent feature extraction and selection in deep feature mining systems for medical diagnostic and prognostic systems.
