The field covers a wide range of treatment possibilities, from widely recognised therapies such as trans-arterial chemoembolisation (TACE), uterine fibroid embolisation (UFE), and venous embolisation, to some of the less commonly known applications such as techniques to treat haemorrhoids and arthritis, and continues to advance in order to become more precise, more evidence-based and even more impactful in the years to come.
